Boulder Ridge Country Club is a Private 27 hole golf course facility located in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. The facility has three nine-hole segments, The North Nine, The South Nine, and The West Nine. The nines can be combined into 3 different 18-hole pairings..
The course was designed by Bob Lohmann. The courses first opened to play in 1989.
Each of the nine hole segments have been sculpted out of the Illinois heartland. This is a traditional course built on rolling terrain. The fairways are open, and the greens are undulating. Water hazards and sand bunkers come into play frequently throughout the course. Even non-golfers can appreciate the beauty of the course. 3,000 mature trees were brought in to line the roughs and fairways. Twenty four lakes reflect the natural beauty of the course. Incorporated into the course theme is the creative use of boulders. From retaining walls to yardage markers, the effect is stunning.
